He Left Microsoft to Serve His Community
Yashar Z. Sany founded and served as CEO of Azki.com , disrupting Iran’s traditional insurance industry by transforming how consumers compare and purchase insurance. Azki became Iran’s #1 digital insurance marketplace, serving millions, reaching a valuation of over $50 million, and growing to more than 1,000 employees.
After moving to the United States, he secured a position at Microsoft headquarters in just three weeks and earned a promotion within his first year. But professional success wasn’t enough. He eventually left Microsoft to pursue something more meaningful: serving his community, where he found a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment.
ZSany — Connecting Iranian Professionals
Through ZSany, he builds platforms that make Iranian professionals easier to discover and connect with, including IranianLawyer.com and IranianAgent.com.
Azki.com — Digital Insurance Innovation
In 2017, he founded and launched Azki.com, bringing insurance comparison and purchasing online. The platform ranked #1 on Google for the Farsi search term “insurance,” helping establish a new digital channel in the industry.
PersianRugs.com — The King of Rugs
He previously created PersianRugs.com – The King of Rugs, ranked #1 for "Persian Rugs" and sold the most valuable Persian domain name after Iran.com, purchased for $400K.
